In partnership with Christians Against Poverty (CAP) we operate a Debt Counselling Centre.
Our Centre Manager is Rick McDonald. He writes:
‘Debt is a problem that many people face in their lives and it can get to the point that it completely takes over, with phone call after phone call and letter after letter asking for money, money that people in this situation simply have not got.
Christians Against Poverty (CAP) can help. The Bay Church has opened a CAP Centre through which we visit people in their own homes to talk to them about their situation. If they choose to work with us CAP will act on their behalf by dealing with all the letters and phone calls taking that stress away so people can start to live their lives again. CAP will endeavour to negotiate with creditors to ensure that the client will get manageable repayments and set a budget for them. If the problem is too big for that we can help you think through the other options available to you.
As the CAP Centre Manager it is my job to explain the process to the client in a non-judgmental way and also to offer any spiritual help.’
If you think we can help we’d love to hear from you. The first step is call the CAP ‘new client enquiries’ line on 0800 3280006 or you can call Rick directly on 07923 954657. For more information please go to capuk.org
